Where all 3x20 Colt scopes made in the US or are there some Japanese out there?

Where all the 4x20s made in Japan?

The early 3x scopes were U.S. made.....by Realist. Some will have the inverted reticle/some crosshair. marked "Made in USA" on top.

The ones with "3x20" engraved are Japanese made (Hakko)

All the 4x20's are Japanese made.

Some where on one of the forums, I read the Colt scopes that were made in Japan were made by Tasco.
In fact, the guy that posted it said he sent one to Tasco and they serviced and repaired it.

If I had a spare Franklin, I'd get one of the Israeli 3X21 Hakko's from Apex...

Some of the later 4x20's may have been made by Tasco.....

The Israeli scopes aren't made by Hakko....They are mfg. by Electro-Optics Industries in Israel......same guys that make the Elbit sights....

When this subject came up a few months ago, someone posted this photo of the sticker on a Colt 4 x 20 scope. I do not know if they are the maker.
The instruction pamphlet for this scope only says,
"Colt's Manufacturing Company, Inc."

So what is a Made in the USA worth?

I am not planning on listing one on the EE.  I have a chance to trade into one that appears to have the original box.

The ones with the pointer-style inverted reticle are a little harder to find than the crosshair model.

Is it in the red, or "woodgrain" box ?

275-350.00 ?? (If perfect NIB with papers/covers)

I bought one for $265.

I came in a Woodgrain box.

no papers, but it cleaned up nice.

It has an Inverted reticle.

I have been offered $500 for one, NO I WONT SELL IT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My advice, is if you find one get it, even up to $350...as they are rare (the "made in the USA) and not many were made..

So, what are fair prices on China made Colt scopes. I have one of the Israeli scopes, so I'm not shopping for one, but I came accross two at a local shop. One is a used 3x20 with not box. Its still in good shape, but used. $125. The other is a 4x20 in a white box with papers and cover. It is in like new condition. $200. I hate to pass up on either if its a good deal. Both are cross hairs. I knew I shouldn't have went pawn shopping today. And to think I have a physical therapy appt. in an hour and I'm out shopping for gun stuff.

125 is a good deal for an early 3x20 .........I'd buy it, but probably pass on the 4x20

So, I'm guessing that the 3x20's came out first and then they switched to the 4x20? Comparing the 3x20 to the Israeli scopes, it seemed like a good deal. I'm heading back to get a LPK he had, so I have a feeling I'll get one of them.

The rubber coated 3-9x40 scope on the Colt Delta Elite rifle is the scope that was a Tasco.
