I picked up a colt upper over the weekend. When I chamber a round about one in three does not chamber all the way and is damn near impossible to eject. I cant find any visual signs on the round or by inspecting the the bcg. Anyone got any ideas?

What brand of ammo? Reloads? Did you clean the chamber?

Are sure its a Colt upper, especially the barrel/chamber? Whether it is or not, you should check the chamber for any deformities/burs by sight and touch if possible (borrow your wife's little pinkie) and also get it gauged. If its new, you could always send it back to Colt and I'm sure they would have you fixed-up and running in no time at all.

Personally, I've never had a problem with any Colt AR I've owned and we are talking over a dozen of them, but anything is possible I reckon.
