I have seen "limited legal" on quite a few different compensators. I asked a guy at a local gunstore about ordering a battle comp for me and he said they are illegal in FL. Now he has been wrong about things like this in the past but he does get me very good prices. Unfortunately for me I am still sort of new to guns and ignorant to some of the laws. So can anyone tell me rather they are legal or not?

That guys an idiot.  What part of FL?  Since silencers are legal, why would compensators be illegal?  I don't understand why the most ignorant and misinformed people work in gun stores.

If you think the guys that work in a gunstore are ignorant and misinformed, you should meet the people that come in to shop at them.

To answer the OP, I dont think Ive seen any state outlaw a comp. Id probably ask in the FL hometown forum for clarification. Just to put your mind at ease.

LOL I imagine it means it's legal for some sort of competition, nothing to do with the state.
Considering you can get it shipped to your house online, my money is on the guy being an idiot.
