Im looking for a competition grade AR, the catch, i have no clue what im doing or looking for.

Im used to Smallbore NRA matches and used to knowing that Anschutz means top of the line.

Any suggestions for a brand or equipment?

It sounds like theres more variations with high powered rifles like this, like with Service Match and Unlimited so id be great if one riflfe could easily fit between them.

Bonus points - any shoot any of these? i havnt heard of one localy and im wondering how popular they are.

Thanks

I think you should decide what type of competition you want to shoot in before you buy the wrong rifle.

Go to "General" and then "Competition shooting and the accurate AR".  Lots of dope there.

Good shooting,

And bookertbab, normally id agree  but id probally start with Service and then possibly move up. Doesnt sound like a AR15 is ever really useless so im not to worried about it. Thanks

No problem integarl.  The neat thing about the AR is that you can set it up with a Jewell trigger set at 4.5 pounds with a Service Rifle legal upper and shoot it as a Service Rifle.  Then, if you want, you can get a different upper, like the 24" RRA varminter (not the EOP version) or whatever wild thing turns your crank, with match sights and all the tricks, reset the Jewell to a much lower weight, and shoot Match Rifle class.  Its a whole lot cheaper than building two rifles.

Good shooting, keep us posted,

Phil
