I have no relationship to the seller. I thought I would point someone to an all original 653. Kinda of sad is has to be broken apart..........

Those are nice parts but... he sold the stock pretty cheap and is asking way too much for that upper. It's worth $700 tops! Also $30 for an A1 grip is a little bit on the high side. Who really cares if Colt put it on a 653? It's just an A1 grip. The grip on my factory Colt M16A1 had some scratches on it when I got it. I took an NOS A1 grip and swapped it out as soon as the Form 4 cleared!
I feel for the guy a little bit, but, if they were planning for a child he should have been better prepared. Still, it is a blessing to bring a child into the world. This is when you really learn a lot about sacrifice. Hopefully by the time the child is old enough to shoot he'll have that 653 fully restored. |
