I think I decided on an LMT lower for my SBR build. With two stage trigger and sopmod it's $540. I wanted to just buy an S&W stripped lower since I already have an S&W rifle that I'm really happy with, but when I start adding up all the parts, $130 for the lower $150 for the stock, grip, trigger, small parts, etc. I'm just about there anyway. Since I'm "SBR-ing" this lower, I'm not opposed to paying a bit extra. Anything else I should consider? |

The LMT I want is $525. So... I can an S&W lower for $130, the CTR receiver kit for $150 (nice from Larue), and the Enhanced LPK from Spikes for $170 (but I'd switch out the grip and trigger card so add $50. Or... I could a Gieselle trigger and basic LPK from DPMS I guess and still be at about the same price. I guess it boils down to what's worth more... an LMT lower all done for me... or one I build myself that I don't know would be any better. The LMT comes with the SOPMOD stock... which I'd probably sell to get the CTR which I just seems to like better. |
