Does anyone make or plan to make a gas piston conversion kit for the AR rifle? Is it possiable?

Yes...it's the ARES system and it's not worth it IMO.

Do you think over time they will get better and cheaper? Is the ARES system reliable?

The ARES are hit or miss.  Cheaper....maybe b/c everyone will begin to realize how shitty of a company ARES is and realize that their conversions are vastly overpriced.  Do a search as I know there is a thread around here by Molon IIRC.  A lot of unhappy users for sure.

I thought about an Ares but opted to have a LWRC built up instead.  I have a full lifetime warranty and the components are made of better alloys and the system has had all of the kinks worked out of it.  Saving a little money was not worth it to me.  LWRC can convert your rifle for you.  It is not cheap, but you wont be disappointed either.  I wont be buying anymore DI rifles.
