I did do a search, but it seemed like there was a thread about converting a fixed telestock to a collapsible.  Does anyone have the link, or maybe could provide a brief procedure?  Thanks!

I'd probably just buy a new one. All of the fixed telestocks I've seen would probably be destoyed if they were to be fooled with.

Problem is that some of the fixed units uses a A-2 length receiver extension.

Pull your buffer and see if it's a carbine buffer or the longer standard A-2 buffer.

If the fixed butt stock uses the Carbine buffer, then there may be hope.

If you buy a new one I would recommend the RRA 6 position. It is nice. Ranks right up there with the bushmaster 6 position.

I used to have an old 4 position one. It was a pile. Very flimsy and had a lot of slack in it. Sold it to a friend of mine along with an AR to AK stock adapter. Now its on his wsar-10.

Here is the topic. I converted two with good results. Careful  set up on drilling is important.
RRA has the parts needed. Others may also.
