Don't know if this is the correct place to post this, sorry in advance if it isn't. Found this cool limited lower from a vet owned company, thought I'd share. Already have mine pre-ordered:

Every 38 hours another veteran commits suicide. Nobody has estimated how many veteran deaths are quietly listed as "accidental". Its a cool lower and the proceeds go to a good cause. I've heard a lot of different numbers used, but regardless of the numbers, the cause is worthy. As a city cop I've been on probably a thousand suicidal persons calls in my career, sometimes it's 4 or 5 a night, my highest count was seven in one shift. Obviously there are shifts whe there are none also. I've saved a lot, cut down people hanging, watched people dribble black goo, and seen brain matter covering rooms. I'm pretty hardened to it, but what gets me every time is what it does to the kids and family, but especially the kids. I've held 5 year old who found their mother dead from a GSW/ suicide while the kid asked over and over what he did wrong. For anyone who reads this and thinks about suicide being your only option, especially if you are LE or MIL, find someone to talk to. If you can't talk, email someone and write it all out. If you honestly have no one, email me. |
