| Well I was cleaning my AR laswt night really well and I happened to look down into the flash hider and saw a bunch of build up.... wasnt sure what it was but i used a pick and as the black soot was removed it was all copper build up on the flat front edge of the barrel. I had to use hoppes lead remover stuff and a pick to eventyually get it all off , was a bitc$ to get off. Does anyone else experience this... Could it affect accuracy cuzz it was right near the crown and I figured it could distort gas flow and stray the bullet if you know what I mean. I think I will be cleaning this spot every cleaning from now on |
What I've done recently when using BF foaming bore cleaner is after I've run a few patches through the barrel, I use canned air to blow out what is in the gas tube then run a pipe cleaner through the gas tube. Run one more patch through the bore and I'm done. |
