I have a newbie buffer question. If I am using a Stag Model 2H 16" upper with an ACE Skeleton ARFX full length stock would the standard A1/A2 receiver extension tube, buffer and spring be the correct buffer and spring? Would that be the correct buffer and spring for that length/type upper. Thanks for any info.

If it uses a rifle length tube then you'll need a rifle buffer & spring.

Thanks for the replies. The stock does use a rifle length tube. I have noticed that most 16" barrelled guns use the collapsible stocks with the CAR buffer and spring. Just wanted to be sure the A1/A2 buffer would work with the 16" barrel.

Buffer and spring depend on buffer tube length, not barrel length.

I just received a RRA 6 pos CAR stock kit with buffer and spring and also an A1/A2 extension tube with buffer and spring to use with the ACE Stock. My dealer sent the same buffer and spring for both. This does not seem correct, can you use the same buffer and spring for both types of stocks??

No. You need the rifle buffer and spring for the rifle tube.
