Last year I bought a MOE buttstock with a receiver extension, buffer and bufer spring from PK firearms.  Then shortly after that I bought a receiver extension, buffer and spring from Bravo Company.  Both of the springs got put together waiting to complete some builds and now I'm not sure which spring came from which dealer but one measures 11" long and the other measuers 12".  Which length is the correct one to use on an adjustable length stock AR?

What is the 12" spring for, a A2 stock?

A2 buffer springs are actually significantly longer, so I'm not sure why yours would have that much of a variance for both being collapsible buffer springs. Is one coiled tighter than the other?

ETA: Nevermind, you're right. I was exaggerating the lengths in my head, but I just physically compared the two and the A2 spring is an inch longer.

Thanks for the link about the springs.  I guess someone shipped me a rifle spring with the carbine tube from the looks of things.
