Thanks a lot for that very informative and interesting test. Are you planning a corrosion test as well?

I originally posted this link in a response to a different topic. I thought some of you might be interested in the informal tests I ran. The entire thread is on the Sig Forum.

Did someone mention corrosion test? Been there - done that, had a good time doing it. The best part is I still get e-mails from haters telling me how their pet product was misrepresented in my test....blaghblaghblagh. I did it for fun and my own personal knowledge. Have a look.........

Hey Wedge,
Yeah I saw that test sometime ago and enjoyed following it.You pretty much covered most all the oils Ive ever used.I particularly liked the fact that you did a salt spray and then cleaned the panels before relubing. You also did not apply the lubes and then wipe them dry to the touch like some folks have done in the past.I personally apply the oils and leave a film on the surface of the weapon as well.Wiping the oils off after application has never made any sense to me...particularly here in the humid south. It may be advisable to wipe dry in the desert but it does not work in humid areas.
The environmental tests that followed showed some interesting results as well.
At any rate good job,and thanks for sharing it.
