Hey Wedge, Yeah I saw that test sometime ago and enjoyed following it.You pretty much covered most all the oils Ive ever used.I particularly liked the fact that you did a salt spray and then cleaned the panels before relubing.You also did not apply the lubes and then wipe them dry to the touch like some folks have done in the past.I personally apply the oils and leave a film on the surface of the weapon as well.Wiping the oils off after application has never made any sense to me...particularly here in the humid south.It may be advisable to wipe dry in the desert but it does not work in humid areas. The environmental tests that followed showed some interesting results as well. At any rate good job,and thanks for sharing it. |
