After a little research, I had 3 options
1) by a kit and all the parts- there was a back order on the kit I wanted ($900) 2) Buy a completed upper and completed lower- still a backorder on the upper ($650) 3) Buy an assembled gun and have gun in hand as I learn ($750) I knew I was going to buy from PSA because they are local, have good customer service, and every comment here about them was positive. So I went with option 3 at this time. My ultimate goal is still to build my own but I'm a hands on type person and reading books, posts, and watching videos can give me only so much knowledge. So now I have one in my hand and now I can understand the breakdown and reassembly of the BCG because its in my hand. I can now see how the trigger mechanism works. I am so ready to shoot, but I have to work tomorrow, so I will have to wait until Friday to take it out for a spin. I will continue to read all info as I am new to this weapon, (also going back to PSA for a class on the weapon) but at least now it will make a little more sense as I will be able to put my hands on stuff as I read about it. Ok so I'm 44 and acting like a kid at Christmas. Sue me |
