| I have heard that after the Germans had been using the MG 42 for a while, the American troops began to dislike that gun so much that the Government made a propaganda flick about the MG 42 to dispell some of the fearful rumors about it's deadliness. I have seen the film and it is interesting. After seeing that MG 42 operate, I can see why the GIs feared it!! |
All The Vids Are Here..... |
The MG-42 ain't shit, you should see the MG-44 this was the "fast' one, I kid you not, when you listen and watch the MG-42, you can here and see how its faster then most any machine gun but when the MG- 44 opened up, it was so fast it sounded continuous, there was no paa, paa, paa, paa at all just a paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, also its true about the propaganda film, they told our boys that its bark was worst then its bite, and they should not fear it and keep advancing, thats right uncle sugar lied to our guys knowing very well that its bite was even worse. When one of these opened up, our guys would take cover afraid to move (cannot blame them) this was a great example of what the nazis were capable of, also notice how crude it was made? Made as cheaply and fast as possible the nazis were loosing the war and in these last years there firearms while quality, became very crude in an effort to save money and time, it was all business. This is what our guys, the british and french were massacred with when they landed on Normandy Beach. Thought some of you would find this interesting, and thanks for the video links I enjoyed them.
