So with the rainy season going on in Iraq and having mud everywhere in a vehicle comes the question, what can I use to cover up the flash suppressor so that it doesn't get into the barrel?  The mud plugs are missing from my tuff box, and until I get resupply I need a way to cover it up and still be able fire the weapon without having to take it off manually.  I heard that electrical tape over it running one piece over in one direction then another the other way to form a sort of X works and it will peel off when the first shot is fired.  Any methods?

That works when I hunt in bad conditions.  The tape just shoots right off.

a condom or a small plastic bag will do the job

Cotts Finger Condoms will do the trick.

ETA: I'll be happy to send you some if you let me know where to have them delivered.

Keep in mind that you will trap moisture around the muzzle with a cap.

Keep the weapon PROPERLY LUBRICATED inside and out.

I saw way too much rust during the rainy season from soldiers who didn't take care of weapons.  (Aviation)

I helped many of them understand it is easier to maintain their weapon than suffer my wrath...
