I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with the Criterion Hybrid barrels that Brownells carrys? Wylde chambered, button rifled chrome lined 1-8 twist. Looks interesting and I understand that Criterion is a subsidiary of

Kreiger. The price looks good but wasn't sure about the accuracy potential as compared to stainless steel.

What do you have to lose, buy one, report back

Criterion makes good barrels.  Would I buy a chrome lined for a match gun?  No.  Would I buy one for a hunting rig that will get abused?  Yes.

Keep in kind a krieger will cost you $600, so all in all the criterion is decently priced for what it is.

Just fyi I went with a criterion on my savage build in 6.5 creedmoor.  Its the stainless match version though... It was $350 shipped, already chambered and ready to screw on.
