I crossed the line today with the arrival of a LaRue SPR-E mount for my Accupoint. I have now spent as much hanging parts on my AR as it originally cost. If someone told me two years ago when my wife (!) bought the AR that I would EVER spend as much on it as it cost, I would have laughed. I don't dare let her know...

You think thats bad? My optics alone (Leupold Mk4 CQ/T) cost over 75% of what the original weapon cost. Add pistol grip, vertical grip, forearm rail, stock, front and rear sling mounts, sling, and we can't forget the $3.95 accuwedge! Plus, I'm still looking at 4 rail forends, lights, and lasers.

My rifle is the single most valuable thing I own. I don't count my car because the bank owns that.

These things are like trophy wives, you have to keep buying them things to keep them happy.

The Leupold MR/T I bought cost more than what the rifle cost to build and then throw in the cost of the Larue SPR mount on top of that.  Worth every penny though.

I think I have finally learned the lesson of you get what you pay for when it comes to optics and mounts.

Sometimes I think that taking up crack smoking would be a cheaper and less addicting habit than BRD. Damn these guns are addicting! I just ordered another upper from CMMG along with a EO Tech 512, Tango Down vert grip, a case of Guat and tactical light. Next on my list is a new lower. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH! Help me before I spend again!

And I have to agree wholeheartedly with the comment on glass. I went through more than one scope before I settled on the Trijicon and an SPR.

At the moment I need so many new scopes and other options I could feed a small country.

But since the political future is a bit questionable at the moment I keep putting more money into new guns and mags plus ammo. I look at it this way I could have one really cool weapon at the moment or I can wait and have a few really cool weapons later.
