Im looking for a lower in the $100 range will probably become a SBR at some poin. Any recommendations for a quality in spec receiver?

You're going to get all kinds of answers, as many companies sell great quality receivers.

I can tell you that my Spikes lower has worked out extremely well, and the finish and stamping are top notch.

forgot to include this in my preferred features, im looking for a lower with either the  pistol grip screw hole threaded all the way into the recierver, or a seprate trigger creep removal/adjustment screw

currently leaning to superior arms

Based on your own criteria you've answered your own question, haven't you. Territorial Gunsmith's (now out of the business) used to produce a lower receiver with the trigger adjustment screw hole also.

im more concerned about it being set up to eliminate trigger creep with either a seprate creep elimination screw or a pistol grip screw hole threaded all the way into the reciever than it being milled from a solid block of unobtanium

Ive got lots of Megas, but I just started picking up Tactical Machine's AR-15 (I got price match which they matched other companies blemished price), and AR308 lowers for the price these are kinda hard to beat right now.

1271 posts later and you still wonder whats a good lower?

Find one thats in your price range, or desired roll mark and go with that!

I'd say Superior Arms is your best bet. I have one, it performs quite well.

no. why? horrible reputation for being out of spec. I don't know if they've fixed them by now, but I hope you like hammering in your mags.

I would go Mega or Spikes, check this out

Try following the thread. So Pmags are snug, your point is? No one is debating whether Mega or Spikes is a better choice. I personally prefer Spikes over Superior. But that is not at issue.

My second build was a used stripped Essential Arms lower. It still had a RRA winter trigger guard left on it. It's nice even the second time around. They are pretty popular. I've never heard a bad word about them yet.

All the reputable companies are pretty much the same. I get my stag lowers for $80.00 so that's what I use. I also have a RRA that's the same quality.

I've got 2 builds based on their lower. The set screw is very nice. I'm very happy with their fit and finish.

I am not family but I picked 2 up this weekend at JoJo's for 74 each out the door. Great lowers. My 1st 2 builds were on Essential Arms lowers also Great !!!! When Obama came into office they kept there prices pretty low (88 dollars) as everyone else broke your back with crazy prices or just did not have anything to offer. I remember a Noveske lower sold on gunbroker for around 800 dollars

I've settled on AGP Arms for future builds - the quality is first-rate and they're great people to work with.  Their lowers have the adjustment screw you want, too.
