Hi guys,

Newbie here looking for opinions on the best way to get a complete upper receiver the way I want it.

Ideally, I want a URXIII rail on a 14.5" barrel w/ a pinned & welded muzzle device. I'm willing to spend a grand on a new one if they're out there but I'm guessing it needs to be custom built.

There's no way I'm buying the $116 tool for the URXIII and I'd need a gunsmith to pin and weld the muzzle device.

I know of the AAC 5.56 upper which I like but I really don't want to spend a grand unless I get exactly what I want (14.5" barrel).

What do you think is the most economical option? Find a used one? Build what I can from scratch then outsource the rail and muzzle install? Or is there a website where I can get one made? Or another approach?

I'd appreciate your opinions, Thanks.

Regards,

Nathan

You can find the parts you want to use and send them to ADCO for assembly. You won't have to buy any tools. They can do the pin and weld too. Good company and they do good work. ADCO firearms are easy to find on the net, they have a good website.

ETA: check the shop services link on their site.
