I am interested in building a custom wildcat upper from scratch. I see I can get a barrel extension from Brownells and can fit barrels to bolt action receivers so I assume I can fit a barrel blank to an extension in the same way. Where can I find the dimensions for AR barrel contours, the location and size of gas ports and the method to locate these features? Can you recommend a book or website or any other resource that I can learn this information? What is the best book regarding building custom AR's, looking for detailed instructions, dimensions, etc. Thanks in advance for any and all guidance. |
