I found a killer deal at my LGS for a DB15 pistole.
The only catch is that I have to buy two to get them for 600 bucks a piece. I have heard good to bad things about DB handguns, some of the horror stories make me as wary of them as Kel Tec, but I really like the styling of the new DB15 and at that cost the wife and I can both buy one. The gun mag reviews are, of course, glowing and say NOTHING bad about the gun. I know that an AR for a 500-700 has some drawbacks, but the idea of having such a cheap range toy that is compatible with my box-o-optics is tempting. They even have one in Olive Drab... |

Quoted:
Do they come with sig braces? at $600 a pop with sig braces I would buy them both if you have the money. You could probably turn around and resell one and make a few hundred bucks pretty easily Nope, they're bone stock naked with the foam rubber buffer tube covers and no sights (even iron). And since we're in the People's Republic of Colorado, the 30 round PMAGs don't come with them. I have just yet to see one anywhere, but it's pretty hard to pass them up at this price. |

Yeah personally if I had the funds I'd probably pick them up. Do you have any AR pistols though? I just built my first one not too long ago and I would definitely recommend building one down the road too if time/funds allow. I learned a lot. |

I bought one of the DB15 pistols back in January. It's a nice gun but I've already had to replace the fire control group. The tooth on the hammer and the sear both were worn away after maybe 200 rounds causing the gun to be a two shot burst (fire on trigger pull and release). I could've just had a bad one but after removing the factory lower parts they seemed... cheap. Remember, you get what you pay for. I replaced my factory lower parts with a CMMG lower kit and couldn't be happier. The CMMG kit seems like it is much higher quality than the DB Factory stuff.
The main issue I've had: FTE. This is most likely caused by the ejector trying to grab the spent casing before the pressure has died down enough to "let go of the shell" causing a FTE. If you shoot steel, it gets dirty, really dirty, and fast. All in all I like it, but I'm looking into converting it to a piston instead of being gas. I have to do my homework and figure if it's really worth it, but I think it might be. If anything to prevent so much carbon fouling all over the place. http://<ahttp://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s461/CHA0SKN1GHT/DB15_zps12859b9b.jpg I know in the picture there is a mixture of ammo but I don't mix it up when shooting. I tested different types of steel and brass in separate test cases. The gun was cleaned and oiled/ lubed properly between each test. |
