I have a newer DBAL I2 unit, manufactured in January 2013, but just recently I have noticed every once in a while, the visible laser will not turn on.
After fiddling with the switch a few times I can usually get it to turn on, but you can see it sort of flickering, staying on, and then dimming. The low battery indicator does not start flashing, and I have even tried with new batteries. It is not something I can simply replicate, it just starts doing it randomly. I will be calling LDI later today, but has anyone else seen this issue? It does not do it on the IR setting, and I have cleaned the battery compartment just to be sure. I have also tested with and without the pressure switch and it does the same thing. I sat and played with it for 10 seconds and it was acting up. Then played with it for an hour testing all the possible configurations and it seemed fine. |
