Is there a special wrench for installing one of these tubes? I've searched both here and googled it and can't find any information. If not, what's a good all around tool that will suffice?
Thanks, Paul |
| I assume you are talking about the Rock River DCM legal free float tube? It uses the standard armorer's tool to install the barrel nut and delta ring assembly. The float part of the tube then screws into that part and a jamb nut secures it. There are no special tools needed to install it. The only thing you might have to do is grind off the sling loop on your front sight post. Because the free float tube has a sling swivel base welded on to it the one on the front sight will have to go. That allows you to cinch up tight on the sling and not put any pressure on the barrel. And when you do it right everything looks stock and is therefore, DCM legal for NRA Highpower matches. |

Do different manufacturers of DCM legal tubes require different tools to install? |
