When I got my new upper with DD Lite installed from a vendor, the top rail was not level with the reciever, by almost 2/64, as you can see:  I loosened the bolts, then put a scope mount to bridge the handguard and upper, and tightened again. There is still a vertical misalignment, about half of what it was before. When I lay the edge of the ruler along the top of the upper, the ruler hits the handguard at the forward end, instead of being flat across its length. So, the handguard appears to be tilted. Anyway way to correct this, or is this just a result of stacking tolerances, and I should just live with it? |
