| On daniel defense website it states that the RIS 2 handguard is only for carbine length gas systems. Will it work with a midlength gas block? I don't see why it wouldnt, most free float tubes are extrusions and have the same clearances inside for the entire length. Please advise. I'm trying to spec out my next build and want to use this handguard with a Noveske Afghan barrel. Thanks. |

It will work with mid lengths so long as the gas block is slim enough that it won't contact the inside of the rail. There is a space specifically designed to fit the Mk12 gas block, on a carbine gas system however. |

The gas block is a BCM gunfighter. Everything fits just fine. I think as long as you don't get a huge low pro gas block you will be good to go. |
