Quick question. Should I put some blue loctite to the ring threads before I tighten it with a strap wrench?

I was advised to use 2 drops of blue loctite on the locking collar of the DD rails. I've done just that 3 different times and none of the rails have worked loose. The 1 I had to pull apart came apart easily enough too.
