What would your intended purpose be? For tactical/self defense I prefer a JP single stage with standard weight hammer spring. For comp/hunting a two stage might be your better choice

I have a chip mccormick supermatch and a rra 2-stage match trigger. I like em both very much, prefer the 2-stage more though.

Cansler,

My toys have the following - Geissele Match Trigger (also available in DMR & Service), RRA 2-Stage and finally Timney's Drop in modular unit...all fantastic triggers.

My $0.02

Cheers,

My hands down favorites are Geissele DMR High Speeds I have in a couple of guns. Other than that I have some Jard single stage triggers which, while not the cream of the crop, are much better than stock, simple and reliable so they are go to gun triggers for the present. I also have Timneys that are very crisp single stage triggers that I like as well, but I don't know yet about their long term reliability.

Recently I've come to like the idea of a two stage for an HD firearm and I'm trying out some LMT two stage FCGs. They're not Geisseles, but they seem pretty good - we'll see how they hold up for the long term. And I have high hopes for the Geissele SSA that I'm patiently awaiting.

My two Chip McCormicks are going to meet their maker (factory recall to correct a potential to go full auto) and when the refurbs/replacements come back they're going straight to the EE, with the appropriate disclaimer.

+1

for all of my working ARs, its stock

my accuracy rigs have RRA 2 stages (which, imo, ARE the best for the money)

For a working gun, try the standard trigger and shoot your rifle. It will get the job done just fine. Put your money into ammo.

Geissele Hi Speed DMR... there is no better trigger IMO.  Buy once, cry once.  I run it in my SBR for home protection.

IMO you can't beat the RRA 2 stage for the price.

On my middy w/TA01NSN ACOG i have a RRA 2 stage and on my carbine w/ACOG Reflex II i have the stock trigger. The RRA is very nice indeed.

I have a JP single stage in my Colt and a LMT 2 stage in my LMT lower/soon to be Noveske Recon upper.  I like the JP better, but I may like my LMT more once I send it to Bill Springfield.  If I have a choice, I will never settle for an OEM untuned trigger.  My groups were cut in half once I got a JP.  It's difficult for nearly everyone to shoot a heavy, gritty, creepy trigger accurately at long range.

Give Bill Springfield a try for a #3 trigger pull.
For under $50 its a pretty good deal.

I have them in three of my AR's.

This is my first precision trigger so I have nothing but standard trigger experience before this so I figured I must be missing out, but I am told this is pretty good. After watching the install video it looked a little past my ability. It came installed on my DPMS Mini SASS Rifle..........http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k51/rgcansler/JPTrigger-DPMSMiniSASS.jpg
