Was yours the standard sling mount that's attached to the bottom of the FSB?

Mine is the kind that is mounted sideways around the barrel under the FSB.


Front to back for the roll pins, top or bottom first shouldn't matter. You may have to remove them both before it will budge anyways.

For a standard rivet on the regular sling loop under the FSB, you should only have to use a punch from the left side towards the right. Same direction as if the brass ejects (unless you have one of those south paw guns!) I've removed a few of the regular loops, and never had to drill first.
