Where can i get the little desi packs for the ammo cans , are they good? and how long do they last? and how much does it cost? THANKS GUYS... |
| I use the aluminum cased desicant. They are great and are reusable and retreatable; just put them in a 250 degree oven for an hour until the moistureladen crystals (pink) dry out and turn blue. You can get them at most catalog stores (Bass Pro) and many other shooting orientedshops. They come in many sizes from amo can Pelican case size (4"x2"x1cm) to safe protection sizes. Thaey start about $5 per. Ihave one in each of my ammo cans and recheck them every 3 months. I highly recommend them. I keep one in each of my Pelican gun cases as well so when I take the guns out in the world and then put them back and it sucks out the moisture, protecting the contents. |

| Or, you could get the box of 6-1 oz packs at Wal-mart for about $3. I don't remember their name, but they were in the housewares dept. They had a whole display of them at the end of one of the aisles. I happened to notice them last week, but didn't note the brand name. |
