I finally got out to the range yesterday and tried out both of my guns with the newly installed DNTC comps. One is a S&W M&P 15A & the other a RRA Elite CAR mid-length on a Spikes lower, with both guns sporting A2 stocks. I didn't notice any difference in the blast noise from either the firing position or off to the side when my friend fired it although I could feel some concussion on the side line. Muzzle flip was greatly reduced but was still noticable when firing with the forarm resting on sandbags and hardly noticable when firing offhand. It's hard to say how much the recoil is reduced but I'd guesstimate about 50% - 60%. I couldn't notice any flash from the firing position in the strong daylight with most of my mixed bag of vintage M193 ammo. The one exception was the old Remington M193 that was quite bright even in the daylight. I'm sure it would make an impressive flash at night. Accuracy didn't seem to be affected & the "shootability" of the gun was improved alot. I give the DNTC comp two thumbs up. |
