| Has anyone actually ever seen the DPMS 22LR upper....or better yet tried it out....It seems a mystery to me.....they list it on their site....but the shipping date has always been pushed back.....thanks to all for a great forum....... |
| Been in the NRA' American Rifleman mag in Dec-02 I think it was. Just uses a Colt kit, with the chamber adapter (fake 223 shell) replaced with a .450 hole, and the ring slips over the 22LR barrel, and uses the std chamber in a 22LR barrel, little different (but effective) approach than what Kuehl is doing. Makes barrel manufacture an easier venture for somebody with their own small machine shop. The DPMS approah cuold be done with the Ceiner kit also, and use 30 round mags, though the mags are around $150-175. |
