I can get a complete DPMS 22 flat top upper w/ one 10rd mag.

Questions are:  (since they aren't making them anymore)
What is it worth ?  Is it worth getting?
Will any magazines or parts interchange with it?
Where would you find mags & parts?

Thanks

I just bought a like new DPMS bull barrel upper last week.  I already have a AP 4 flat top upper I have set up like my duty rifle.  I already had several magazines so that wasn't an issue for me.  Black Dog Machine is working on a prototype mag for the DPMS right now so hopefully it won't be to long before there is a high capacity mag available.  I've shot my AP 4 upper at least 18000 rounds.  I had an out of battery ignition which blew out the right extractor.  Upon inspection I found the firing pin was also broken.  I called DPMS who advised to send them the upper.  They repaired my upper and I got it back in about 3 weeks.  If you want additional 10 round mags you can call DPMS and ask for Shane.  Shane will be able to tell you if 10 round mags are available from DPMS.   I've seen these uppers sell for $400 to $500 depending on configuration.  The mags I've bought were about 23 to 24 bucks each.  The Colt conversion kit and the DPMS bolt are very similar in design.  The DPMS mag will work in the Colt kit however the Colt mag will not work in the DPMS dedicated upper or bolt conversion kit.  My to rifles have been very reliable with good ammo.  With the shortage of Ciener conversions I think the DPMS is a viable option.  Both my DPMS uppers have good accuracy.........................You spend your money and you take your chances when it comes to 22lr AR's.  In my experience accuracy is as much dependent on Ammo, Optics, Trigger to all come together for really good accuracy even if you have a very high quality barrel........................I hopes this helps.........

I have one that is both accurate and reliable, but it is driving me bananas because I only have one magazine.

That's the only thing keeping me from buying the one I mentioned above, I want more magazines.
