Is the trigger used for the DPMS 308 lower a mil-standard small pin AR15 trigger, or is it proprietary?  Looking to build a stripped 308 lower and I'd like to put in a better trigger.  Thanks!

I went RR 2-stage.  It can take some fitting, but it works great.

Thanks guys!  Exactly what I was hoping to hear.    I'm thinking about going with the Timney skeletonized drop-in trigger.

The dealer I got my lr-308 lower from said AR triggers work fine in it. He also said there might not be enough clearance for "modular triggers". I took this to mean there might not be room for the trigger housing in the lower.

Just adding that the hammer out of my DPMS LR 308 LPK is identical to the hammer out of my DPMS  A-15 kit. The disconnector and trigger are also the same.

Well then MY DPMS LR-308 must be something new. Becuase there aint no standard AR trigger fitting in this rifle. We tried, The hammer is larger. We even tried using a RRA trigger and all the parts nothing fit with the hammer. I went with a DMPS ADJ. trigger and its now very sweet.

Hmmmm weird.

I got a RRA NM 2 stage in one of mine and a Geiselle in the other.

The RRA just went in slick as buttter.

On the Geissele (as it says in their directions) I had to shave a blonde nose-hair's worth of material off the saftey for it to reset

That is the same one I put in my LR-308, works fantastic. I did have a couple light hits with some SA battle pack stuff, but that was the only time.
