Presently looking at the ARMS #40A2 for A3 application, lots of members have lots of good things to say about it.  Anyone been using the DPMS #FT-RS sight?  I know it's not a folding unit but still interested to hear about function, strength, and accuracy.  Thanks in advance for your findings.

Hoping that bugger Santa brings everything I need!

I've used them, and I've got a few around here I think- one's still on a rifle.
It's always at the ready, which means it can also be a distraction in your sight picture if you're using optics along with it. It's great if you don't need something to be unobtrusive all the time, or if you really need the complexity (windage + elevation) of an A2 sight. It seems to make more sense than using a detachable carry handle that doesn't work properly as a carry handle, and it's lighter as well.

The problem with it is that it doesn't hold up.  The screws on them have broken for a number of folks, and they aren't anywhere near as robust as the screws on a standard carry handle.  This was a case of "good idea, poor execution."

It might be fine for a range gun, but not for a duty rifle.
