I have a AR15 carbine buffer spring that is new. IT is may 2 " longer than the 308 carbine. Would it be safe to use in the 308 AP4?  The buffer spring I have is a Chrome Silicon Moly Plated. M4/Car. Or can I cut it down with wire cutter's

I also have a H-carbine buffer can it be used? It a little longer than the 308 buffer but it is a heavy buffer.

Thanks

dpms .308 specific buffer/spring only, and proper rifle/carbine length.

If you match the number of coils you might be ok

The buffer is too long, and will not work.  However, you can take the weights out and swap the tungsten weights from the 223 buffer to the 308 buffer

Thanks

Get the correct spring - it is only about $15 shipped.
