I traded my RRA LAR8 for an AP4 due to the considerable weight difference between the two rifles.  I am looking at putting a JP Handguard (midlength) on the rifle.  Would you recommend doing the replacement myself?  Which low profile gas block would work best?  I am going to ditch the front sight post because I despise them.  I will have a Vortex Viper 2-7x32 on it for hog hunting so I don't need irons.

Any .750  lopro gas block will fit/work.But you want one that will cover up where the original front sight was mounted.Larue Tactical and MI make them.I'm sure several others I can't think of.
