Yes. I have two DPMS LR-308 uppers, both built by Marty of Teppo Jutsu. My .500 Phantom has an AR-10 carrier and bolt (I think the bolt is Armalite too but it could be DPMS, have not checked real close but I know the carrier, firing pin and retainer are Armalite) while the other has a DPMS carrier and bolt (470 Rhino). Both work perfectly in the DPMS LR-308 uppers. However, they are not exactly interchangeable. For instance, the AR-10 uses a spring loaded firing pin while the DPMS does not. So while either carrier and bolt will work in the other there are some parts that are not the exactly the same. Even the carriers are not exactly the same but the differences are minor and of no consequence but you do need to use the correct firing pin in the proper carrier. The two firing pins are carrier specific. The Armalite FP would not go into the DPMS carrier but I don't think I tried the DPMS pin in the Armalite carrier. |
