| I am trying to decide weather to buy the DPMS multi-tool or the DPMS Barrel Wrench. If you throw money out of the equation I am curious to see what you guys thank. I am sure someone has to have experience with one of them or both. If you could please let me know your personal experiences. I have a chance to get the multi-tool as the same price as the barrel wrench and I woudl rather have it since it allows for more options, but I am scared because I have heard alot of people from Midway complain about the 2 pegs(snapping one off) instead of 3. By the way I already have a castle nut wrench, so I would mainly use this to install my VTAC handguard. Thanks for your coments in advance. |

If you already have a castle nut wrench then you might as well get the stronger barrel nut wrench. The one with three points is going to be stronger than one with two.
However, I have the DPMS multi-tool and I don't think I could snap off one of those prongs very easily without waaay over-torquing the barrel nut or abusing the wrench in some dumb way. The multi-tool also has the crenelated wrench for use on standard barrel nuts. It's not necessary, but it does work well. |
