Can someone enlighten me what railed handguards
are compatible with the AP4? Troy? DD? Midwest Industries? Is there older and newer versions of the AP4 that have different receiver heights? I've read posts about hanguards being too tall. Also, while we're here, Is it correct that the AP4 takes the 308 PMAG? Thanks a ton |
All the LR308s can run PMAGs. As for the handguard, why put up with a short, stubby, cheese grater rail that costs an arm and a leg and may or may not align with the upper rail ? I just cut down the FSB and threw a DPMS free float tube on mine... works great and cost under $100:

Oh boy, this has been discussed a lot but I'll list them out 
New lower height options: Troy, PRI, DPMS, JP (supposedly) Higher old style: Troy, PRI, Samson, SWS, DD, Fulton, JD, Rainier, KAC, SI Defense, CMMG (I think thats it) If you end up getting a new rifle and have to have one of the older compatible rails just get an upper from Fulton and sell the new one on the EE |
