I just picked up a DPMS LR-308C. Hbar 20" barrel fixed stock. I want to change the hand guard to a free floated non rail system. What parts will I need and what length ? I also want to take off front sight and change to a low profile gas block. What size do I need or I just measure the barrel right next to front sight ? I sent trigger out to Bill S. to have him fix it up already. I bought an Osprey 4-14x to get me started.

you might get more response on the variants section. lots of dpms 308 fans there.
I went with a JP vtac tube 12.5"on a 18" barrel build ...... amazing versatillity. a low profile gas block and the folding front sight is going on the tube. thats what I would do.plus they work off a regular multi tool,so its easy. go to dpms' web site,they should lsit your barrel specs. which should be IIRC .936 gas block? |
