I have one its very front heavy. Its very accurate tho as accurate as my old LR308 24". I like having the front sight since i can't see it anyway with my 4.5-14 scope. The coolest thing IMO is that with all these extra features they cost about the same as a LR slick upper rifle. We have one at work $1100.

The soulition to the Tac 20 being"front heavy" is in how you order the gun. The standard set up is with the "heavy" 4 rail, and a standard solid fixed stock.

I too found it heavy... and went back to DPMS for a new set up...Here's what we came up with.... and let me tell you this is a BAD BOY.

Replaced the 4-rail....with the DPMS light weight carbon fiber hand guard.(MUCH lighter and brought the "center" of the gun where it should be..in the middle! )
Factory also pre drilled a bi-pod hole if needed later.....Look's sweeeet !!

Replaced the standard stock ..with the CAA tactical 6 position stock. ( giving me the flexibillity to compensate for the 20" barrel should I be in CQB situation.) I built this to be my main "cabin" rifle ...not some bench beauty.  She's... "Ready to Respond"

Replaced the stock pistol grip.....with the rubber Ergo grip..Very nice.
Replaced the standard trigger...with the JP option...A MUST.
Removed the standard front sight....replaced with a 4-rail gas block.
( mounted Midwest Ind. flip up front and rear sights ......nice. )

Keep in mind I wanted an all around fighting rifle...with that "big punch" of a .308
The 20" barrel gives me a little more than the 16" ...for that reach out and touch some one shot...and the set up I have NOW..is good to go for QCB too.
I dont feel I gave up anything by loosing the front 4-rail....I didnt want all the toy's up front anyway  !!  more weight...and I can still place a small light or laser on the 4-rail gas block if needed.

I will be mounting  the new IOR 2.5-10 x 42   35mm scope...again setup for either
close contact ..or mid to long rangr shooting.

This gun shoots like a dream and, handles so nice you can't belive.
BUY it you wont regret it.....GL
