Just Handled a friends Panther Lo Pro and was wondering what you Guru's thought about these? Thanx - BD1 |

The low pro classic was my first AR-15. The paperwork said not to shoot Winchester White box ammo out of it because the bullet touched the rifling and it would cause excessive chamber pressure. Also note that it's .223 chamber not 5.56. At least mine was, they may have changed that since. It do know it was the most accurate AR that i've had, and i've had 4; 2 dpms, and 2 RRA. The fact that it is a bull barrel might have something to do with it, or maybe i've just picked up too many bad habbits to shoot as good as i used to... You said Panther, but your title has classic. I don't know what the panther is chambered in, but it sure does look purdy... |
| The rail on the low pro receiver is very slightly higher than the rail normally used on an upper receiver, which can cause issues with zeroing backup iron sights. It also means that the rail is higher than any rails on a railed forend so you cannot use a scope mount that spans the joint between the two. |
