Recently visited a gunshop and saw a DPMS lower hanging on the wall with a price tag on it of $135.00.
Are these good recievers and a decent price? Thanks |

DPMS lowers are fine. CURRENT DPMS lowers are ok. Earlier ones ain't necessrily so hot.. The first one I got about 5 years ago had the front slot for the upper tab off center, so the upper tilted to the left when assembled. The fimish was also mottlerd. The second one, bought two years later, had the most horrible forge lines I've ever seen, and I only bought it because I was going to convert it to A1 profile, so I filed down the forge lines along w/the other mods I was doing. To be fair though, the DPMS units I;ve seen lately have looked good and I would have bought one, if I was in the marlet. So my attitude is, if you can examine the piece, and it looks good, go ahead. I still wouldn't mail order one ,though.
