Has anyone tried one of these devices in thier AR? It is a small cover that drops in the lower to prevent blown primers from jamming the trigger group. I'm not much on useless gadgets, but I have experienced and seen several FTF dues to blown primers blocking the trigger. These type of malfunctions are usually impossible to clear quickly as it requires seperating the lower and digging the primer out. If the Receiver Rug works as advertised, it might be a valuable upgrade.

Look here.

That is the first I have seen of it - the question arises is it just snake oil?  If not, could be a nice safety net.

I have seen 2 guns locked  up by backed out primers

one was a Factory Colt M16 the other was a Armalite both times the primer got under the trigger and locked it solid   both were with 3131A  and both were within a few months of each other
there was a rumor of a bad batch of winchester getting out  around that time and I am inlined to believe it

The guy with the Armalite was thrilled as he bought it dirt cheap because it was broken , 5 minutes and no parts it was up and going

If it makes you sleep better at night put one in ,I don't think it will hurt anything

therehave been a few threads about it.

most people believe it to be the next "accuwedge" as some people will think it will help, some won't, and some don't even care.
