You will need one that is .625 diameter. Google search & you will find what you need. You don't need someone telling you which one to buy when you can easily do a search on the Internet.

ETA: My error

i think that is incorrect.  I am pretty sure the sportical is .750

It is a light contour barrel but it has a step at the gas block.  isn't a "true" lightweight barrel observe this picture here showing a stripped sportical barrel ––

I only recall this because my first rifle was a sportical, and i went and bought a Low Profile block and i didn't even know there were different sizes at the time, i just bought a cheap YHM one and put it on, pretty sure it is .750

worse comes to worse you could bust out the calipers and measure it

Correct, the Sportical barrel is .750 at the gas block.

If it is just a low profile then really any low profile would work.  As i said, i used a cheap YHM one on mine.. they usually go for around $25 bucks.  I think the DPMS barrel is already dimpled for it.  So just pop it on, rockset or red 2620 or 263 lock tite. Or you could just stake the set screws too i suppose.

If it'll fit you should just use a clamp on style gas block and forgo the set screw type completely, i think YHM sells a clamp on style for like $35 bucks.

there is my old one in a few different configs.

honestly if you are going to put a long rail like that on, you need to make it a modular rail system.. long ass quad rails are heavy and pointless. I learned that the hard and expensive way.. go light.

Have the CASV-M - it is effin awesome... you expect it to be heavy, but as long as you don't put on any rails but what you need it is pretty lightweight... it is solid as a rock and bombproof.

I also have the Troy/VTAC Extreme - Pretty nice, one of the lightest out there, the only one that is lighter (excluding Carbon Fiber) is the regular TRX extreme version, it is solid as well... i wouldn't want to smack someone upside the head with it like i would the CASV but it seems sturdy enough.

Other options include

Daniel Defense modular rail
Troy TRX Extreme
Samson EVO
CMMG is going to come out soon with a REALLY thin one.
Lancer is coming out with their carbon fiber ones
VTAC has an in house version
YHM has one, but i have no experience with it really (it seems to get passed over often)
Wilson combat has one
Rainer Arms has a in house version of the Samson EVO which is even lighter than the regular version.

Thats all i can think of off the top of my head. Eyeball the picture threads, most people are heading towards the modular rail systems now.. it just makes more sense.. rails where you need them, weight savings, no having to deal with buying and the added weight of rail covers, no cheesegrater quad rails dinging up on things.  I don't think I will ever use a quad rail again.

Silly question, why are the sights on backwards?

Oversight and stupidity from an excited AR owner. I had just gotten the sights, never played with that style before, I just slapped them on and took a picture.

Besides don't you know that all the cool kids are doing it?
