I just ordered a DPMS .204 Ruger upper for an AR lower receiver I have. I also have a Bushnell 4200 6-24x50 I'm going to be mounting on it. I have the scope in hand and am considering eye relief. Was wondering if anyone that has a similar setup could comment on whether they recommend an extended scope base as opposed to just using rings on the flat top.
Anyone with any experience? Thanks for the help! |
| you will need either a raised sight base or rail depending on your scope and its overall length and objective diameter, i got one with a 40mm objective and it works ok with tall weaver scope rings. gives it about 3/8" above the handgaurd. of course too you may or may not want it higher depending on personal preference, if it had a larger objective you may need to go with something that would put it higher to clear the handgaurd. |
