before some of you start with all the bashing...
This is just a  rifle I picked up VERY CHEAP, and  I am not going to do much with it parts wise... ( meaning spend very little)
first thing that has to go.. the gas block, what were they thinking?  aluminum? rail is too low for matching BUIS?  and it's Fugly. For my last rifle build, I bought and installed a DEZ A2 front sight with set screws... it was nice but when banged around it would move just a little.  I really don't care for free float expensive quad rails, I would love to keep the basic M4 style HG's... what are my gas block options????????
I will also be upgrading the bolt carrier ( I have a Colt BCG that I added a BCM enhanced extractor kit to)...
what trigger group without  spending over $100????.... it is just a beater backup...

Several railed gas blocks on the market, shouldn't be hard. Mine all wear fsp, so I am not alotta help there.
ALG ACT is an amazing trigger at ~ $60, imo.
Good luck.

Smart move. I took a DPMS as part of a payment on money owed.  Gas block was loose. After firing about half a mag of rounds down range, it failed to eject due to loose gas key. Looked like a three year old whose parents were snowflakes staked the screws. I'd check yours.

There's a good reason why people bash DPMS. I will say this though, the fit and finish of the receivers are nice.

Any number of companies make good gas blocks.

A lot of companies past and present have used the exact same gas block as the DPMS, which is why you will find companies that make the front sight for that style of gas block.

The Oracle is a simple lower tiered rifle that many purchase as a gun to get in the game, just like a lot of other lower priced assembly line guns.

I have an Oracle and have had no problems with it, put the right front sight on it for the gas block installed a bump fire stock on it and have put 25K rounds through it will no failures, I can still lock the stock and shoot 1.5 to 2 MOA all day long with it using my reloads.

A lot of people bash DPMS, but for a person looking to get a rifle, they are cheap and abundant and they go bang, I have no problems with the fit and finish on mine, I keep it lubed up and it keeps firing bullets down range.

well I solved the Gas block issue and added a  light weight keymod also...  I went to a local gunshop this morning and bought a YHM low gas block, and a AIM 13" keymod HG... so Including this mornings purchase I only have around $340 into this... (Aimpoint I already owned)  just need to buy a few more things ... MOE PG, and maybe stock... and a inexpensive trigger kit.  it is already a hell of alot lighter than my PSA  Dissapator middy with stainless barrel...
