I bought a DPMS lower (complete) at a local gun show. New. I put a AP4 upper on the lower to complete my rifle. Took it out to shoot and was surprised by the amount of recoil. My question is, what is the buffer length supposed to be in this configuration, collapsible stock, and what is the correct spring length. I  ordered and received a enidine buffer from bo-tach (quick service) the package is marked for .308 carbine w/ collapsible stock , but when installed the bolt will not lock back, which has me wondering if whoever put the lower together used the right components. Thanks for your imput.

+1, a few months back another member on here had some questions about his 308 having the wrong parts as well. When I got home I put this together for him. It list the 5.56 and the 308 buffer lenghts/ springs and weights.

CLICK ME for pdf download Being its a pdf you will need a pdf reader (adobe ect).

Either way, I would recommend the Slash bufer and modified spring for use in a 308 adjustable stock setup.

Thanks Spoolup for the buffer and spring info, it was  just what I needed. So the components used in my rifle are correct. Where do I find the Slash buffer and spring? Thanks again for the help.
