[ARCHIVED THREAD] - DPMS mags

I've been holding off getting one of the DPMS 308 variants until they solved the mag problems. Looks like they have gotten the metal ones in the pipeline. So has anyone used them? Any new problems pop up?

I havent gotten any steel mags yet but am a fellow New Yorker, where are you located? I am in Cuba due south of Buffaloabout 65 miles. If your close enough you could swing by and try out my 18" DPMS sometime.

Thanks for the offer. I'm on the other side of the state in Poughkeepsie. I grew up in Buffalo though. I used to go fishing down in Chatauqua Lake which is down your way. If I get up there again I'll keep you in mind. Again, thanks for the offer.

Sure thing, just drop me a line if your out this way, I have plenty of places to shoot out to 500+

I lived in the Adirondaks for a short while in Glens Falls and loved it there but still a lot of people, here it is very sparsely populatd with lots of farm land still so you can shoot just about anywhere.

Buffalo is a different story, I go there to see my neurosurgeon and for the airport and otherwise avoid the city like the plague
